About OutLoud

Our Story

Over the last decade, community organizers in the Walla Walla Valley have worked tirelessly to better understand the needs and challenges faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people.  After a needs assessment was conducted, it became clear that LGBTQ people felt invisible and confined to the shadows.

In the summer of 2017, a group of LGBTQ organizers came together to discuss how to improve visibility and public advocacy using marketing and social media.  Those conversations led to the launch of OutLoud.

Today, OutLoud is the leading movement for LGBTQ people in the Walla Walla Valley, focused on LGBTQ visibility, advocacy and enrichment.  We work closely with community groups, organizations, business partners and non-LGBTQ allies to accomplish our important work.

OutLoud is proud to be a people-powered movement.  All of our work is possible because of the tireless dedication of both LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ volunteers.
